Trailside Homes was born in the Pacific Northwest. We’ve been building homes and developing communities in the region for decades, and we love the lifestyle the PNW provides just as much as you do.

Our origin story begins here…

Trailside Group and its family of companies was established in 1993. Since its inception, Trailside has planned, developed, and constructed communities throughout Snohomish, Pierce, King and Kittitas Counties. Trailside has participated at the county and state level in preservation, ecological endeavors, and advisory committees in the pursuit of providing exceptional placemaking.

Sean, remains the vision behind the drive to build and develop superior communities and to serve families throughout the PNW by providing opportunities missing in the marketplace.

  • 1998 - 2000

    Scatter Creek Resources sourced land and timber acquisitions to create homesites along the 405 corridor. In 2000, Scatter Creek partnered with Plum Creek Timber on an acquisition of 10,000 acres in Upper Kittitas County, near the new resort community, Suncadia. 

  • 2000 - 2005

    Sapphire Skies Land Co. was formed in 2000. Sapphire Skies led the operations for 26 land and timber projects including a 10,000-acre, $25m land and timber acquisition in Kittitas County and managed timber harvest and land sales activities of over $40m and over 8,000 acres.

  • 2006-2008

    Trailside created the 1st private water bank in Washington State resolving the impacts of a water moratorium, thus allowing parcels to be buildable again in Upper Kittitas County.

  • 2008 - 2011

    Throughout the financial downturn, Trailside continued with entitlements for roughly 2,000 acres for five future communities including finalizing a Development Agreement with the City of Cle Elum for a 950 unit master planned community.

  • 2012

    Launched the Trailside at Woods & Steele community comprised of 65 homesites and offering over 150 acres of permanent open space laced with trails and direct access to USFS land.

  • 2013

    The commercial building, The Lodge at Woods & Steele, including pool, spa, expansive timbered covered areas and beautiful landscaping was construction by Trailside Homes.

  • 2013 - 2022

    Trailside Homes constructed new and custom homes throughout Trailside owned communities, Suncadia and Upper Kittitas County.

    The Trailside Collection, a home plan line unique to Suncadia with Design Review Approval to fast track the custom home building experience was released in 2018.

  • 2019

    Trailside Group embarked on the highly anticipated City Heights Development Agreement. City Heights was developed in collaboration with the community to address the needs and goals of residents, business owners, recreational users, the City of Cle Elum, service providers and Tribes. This dynamic project will provide significant community public amenities and improvements while creating sustainable economic growth to Cle Elum and its residents. City Heights is being developed by a long-time local Cle Elum business who holds the community’s values near and dear to their hearts. City Heights’ number one priority is enhancing the Cle Elum way of life.

  • 2020

    2020 marked the completion of over 95 new and custom homes throughout the PNW, including the master planned resort community, Suncadia.

     

    Trailside Homes built and sold new home opportunities in Kirkland, Washington.

  • 2021

    Trailside Group closed on the 1st three phased in the community of Skyline Ridge at Ederra offering 160 custom home sites, over 200 acres of permanent open space, trails connecting to the Teanaway Community Forest and the epicenter of the community, the Skyline Ridge Lodge, pool, spa, sports courts and more.

  • 2022

    Groundbreaking of Ederra, featuring multiple home options, public spaces and buildings and commercial spaces designed to support the greater communities of Roslyn, Suncadia and Cle Elum

Founder & CEO

Sean has worked in real estate development and place-making since 1993. He is passionate about the outdoor lifestyle and sharing it with others. Sean is a visionary leader – having assembled a team of like-minded individuals with skills and talents that span the spectrum of home and land development, architecture, interior and landscape design – and more. He is a creative, flexible and collaborative partner who is truly invested in delivering your dream of the perfect mountain retreat. Away from the office, you can catch up with Sean exploring with family and friends in the Cascade Mountains, the San Juan Islands, or discovering the many neighborhoods throughout Seattle.

SARAH SKRYABNEV

Marketing & Customer Relations Manager

Having spent most of her life in Seattle, Sarah is proud to call the Pacific Northwest home. With an extensive background in Sales and Customer Service, she is extremely accommodating and is driven by results and client satisfaction. Sarah enjoys meeting new people and celebrating milestones which makes helping those seeking to build a custom home or buying a newly completed, move-in-ready home, a perfect fit. Prior to joining Trailside, Sarah most recently held the position of Sales and Marketing Manager for a luxury King County homebuilder, responsible for land acquisition, sales, and marketing. Professionally and personally, Sarah is known to build lifelong relationships with those around her. She spends every ounce of her free time with her husband, two lovely children and likes to unwind by exploring new recipes or planning events with her friends and family. Whether traveling or working in her local community, you are sure to find Sarah with a welcoming, cheerful spirit and smile on her face.
