Custom Home Quick Start

Your custom home is already in motion.

Let's talk about what comes next.

Maybe you’re comparing builders. Maybe you already own your land or have plans underway. Maybe you’re ready to build – or questioning whether your current path is still the right one.

Wherever you are in the process, a short conversation with an experienced custom home builder can help you understand your options and determine the right next step.

WHERE ARE YOU IN THE PROCESS?

Your project doesn't have to start with us.

Custom home projects come to us at all different stages. You may have a vision and a piece of land. You may already be working with an architect. You may be comparing proposals from builders. Or you may have started down one path and decided it’s worth exploring another.

We’ll meet you where you are.

You’re ready to compare experience, process, pricing and approach before making an important decision.

You own your homesite, have plans underway, or are already working with an architect and need to understand the path to construction.

You know you want to build a custom home, but want an experienced team to help put the right people, decisions and process in place.

You’re already working with a builder or have received a proposal, but something doesn’t feel right. A second perspective can help you better understand your options.

Our four-step custom home process

A proven path from idea to home

Prefer email? Tell us about your project below.

01 - DISCOVER

We start with your vision, priorities, homesite, timing and budget – and determine where your project stands today.

02 - PLAN + DESIGN

We develop the scope, schematic design, site plan and project schedule, bringing the right resources together around the project.

03 - FINALIZE + PRICE

Architecture, engineering, design selections and construction details are completed so that scope, schedule and construction pricing are clearly defined before work begins.

04 - BUILD

With the planning complete and Construction Agreement in place, we break ground and bring the home to life.

WHY TRAILSIDE?

Plan carefully. Price clearly. Build confidently.

For more than two decades, Trailside Homes has been building custom homes in the Pacific Northwest. Our experience spans the entire process – from land and early planning through architecture, engineering, design and construction. We believe the decisions made before construction begins are some of the most important decisions you’ll make. That’s why our process is designed to resolve the details early, establish a clear scope and price, and give you confidence before breaking ground.

LOCAL EXPERIENCE

Deep experience building in King and Kittitas Counties, with an understanding of its unique land, permitting, climate and construction realities.

COMPLETE PROJECT PLANNING

We help coordinate the pieces of a custom build – from site planning and architecture to engineering, design, budgeting and construction.

FIXED-PRICE GUARANTEE

Once your project scope is finalized and sign a Construction Agreement, your price is guaranteed. Clear scope. Clear pricing. No cost overruns from the agreed work.

CANDID, TRANSPARENT ADVICE

Comparing builders, reviewing a proposal, or questioning the direction of an existing project? We’ll offer a straightforward assessment of what we see – including pricing. If we think something looks reasonable, we’ll tell you. If we see concerns, we’ll explain them.

WHY TRAILSIDE?

Every conversation is private. If you’re already working with another builder, we will not disclose that you’ve spoken with us. You can explore your options, ask candid questions and get a second perspective without creating complications for your existing project.

A HOME DESIGNED AROUND YOU

Our Design360 approach considers the land, architecture, interiors, views and indoor-outdoor experience together – creating a home that fits both its owners and its setting.

HAVE A PROJECT UNDERWAY?

Don't start over - start a conversation.

If you already own your land, have architectural plans, are working with a designer, or have received a construction proposal, bring what you have.

We’ll start by understanding where the project stands today.

Prefer email? Tell us about your project below.

Depending on your situation, we can talk through:

  • Your current plans and project status
  • Construction scope and next steps
  • Budget and pricing approach
  • Site and preconstruction considerations
  • Working with your existing architect or design team
  • Questions about a builder proposal or construction estimate
  • What changing builders could involve
  • Whether Trailside is a good fit for the project

You don’t need to have everything figured out before contacting us. That’s what the conversation is for.

LET'S TALK ABOUT YOUR PROJECT.

Start with a 15 minute call.

No lengthy presentation. No need to have every answer.

Tell us where your project stands, what you’re trying to accomplish and what questions you have. We’ll help you determine the most useful next step – and whether Trailside Homes is the right builder to take it with you.

Or tell us about your project.
